Front Runner Slimline II Truck Bed Platform Rack Installation - 2013 Ram 2500- Video
Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we've got my 2013 Ram 2500 and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the Front Runner Slimline II Bed Rack. Front Runner makes a lot of racks that will mount to the top of your vehicle that you can see up here on top of my truck. A lot of people don't like to permanently mount their racks to the roof because they just use it during the summer or for a few trips a year. That's when this bed rack's gonna come in handy is you can mount the rails to the side rails of your truck and then if you take the bolts out you can slide this rack off and it's as if it was never there. The benefit of having this type of rack over top of your bed is so that if you ever run out of space when you're going on a long extended camping trip or if you like to go overlanding, you can load your bed up with stuff pretty quickly. more

And today we'll be taking a close look at some of the features of the Leer's ladder rack that has the ability to be mounted onto the Leer's Tahoe cover on the back of our 2022 Ram 1500. This is gonna be a really nice option for you if you plan on hauling a lot of deer in the back of your truck. It's really gonna open up a lot of space because whether if you wanna put any accessories on top of here, anything like ski carriers or snowboard carriers, or if you wanna put a rooftop tent in the back, you're gonna have that option too. Now if you wanna put ladders or anything longer like that, keep in mind when you are putting 'em in here, you're gonna be very limited on space because of how high this ladder rack system sits. It's not higher than the front of your cab. more

Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Malone Crossbed Truck Bed Rack. It's gonna be a good solution to mount up some accessories over your bed, especially if you don't want it to be super up tall, like a tent or a bike rack where it's easier to reach, while still leaving your bed below accessible. And we're gonna be showing you how to install it on your 2013 RAM 2500. So the big thing you probably notice right away, is it's pretty low profile, from the bedrail to the top of the crossbar here, only adding about eight inches. So this isn't gonna be a ladder rack, it's not gonna be for your elongated loads of two by fours, conduit, ladders, even kayaks I wouldn't put on here because they probably just won't fit. more

You do have a pretty big bed on the 2500 here but if you're looking to transport some items that are maybe just a little bit too long like ladders, lumber, maybe even a couple kayaks, a ladder rack like this is gonna let you do that. This ladder rack is very versatile. It's able to support up to 500 pounds. It's also rated for off-road use but it will drop that weight rating down to 300 pounds and you can adjust the height according to what you need. more

The bedrock system is gonna be adding rooftop rails to your bed rails, so that way you don't sacrifice your whole bed. It's still loaded with all your gear, and then put other accessories up top. If you wanna put a cargo carrier or some bike racks up here that either go around the bars or go in the T racks you can do that. The bedrock system utilizes the Yakima HD bars and they're gonna have a on road weight capacity of 300 pounds and an off-road weight capacity of 180 pounds. more

Today, we're upgrading our 2022 Ram 1500 Classic with my favorite accessory for the bed of your truck. It's the Yakima BedRock HD. Our bars are gonna be 78 inches long. So it's gonna give you a lot of room for a lot of different accessories. If you're doing the wraparound or clamp on style accessories, the width of the bar is gonna be three inches and the thickness is gonna be an inch and half. We've used a lot of the clamp systems from Yakima. more

Hey guys, it's Jake here with the trailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look and doing a test fit of the Buyers Products Truck Bed Ladder Rack on a 2022 Ram 3,500. This ladder rack is gonna be just like a lot of other ladder racks that you've seen out in the market. The biggest difference between this one and the ones that you might've seen is these are gonna come included with the load stops themselves, and that's just gonna help to maintain your cargo and give you a couple more tie-down points for when you're hauling those loads. Now you may or may not know the main purpose of a ladder rack is to get an elongated load, which is a load that is longer than the bed of your truck, up onto the rack so that you can tie it down safer. You can be more confident that it's not gonna go anywhere and it's gonna free up the bed. more

We do have it working with the Retrax XR Tonneau Cover, but it also does work with the Pace-Edwards Ultra Groove and the Ford Embark LS Tonneau Cover. Adam: What's going on, everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today, we have a 2020 Ram 1500, and we are going to be taking a look at the Yakima BedRock HD bed rail system. If you're really looking for a way to really maximize your truck, but you're not really a fan of those tall, bulky looking ladder racks, these are going to give you pretty much the same exact bars as the Yakima Overland ladder rack, so you can put a bunch of different stuff on here.We can go ahead and actually put kayak carriers on these bars, and there is a load extender that you can put in the hitch, so you can have your kayaks going off the end of the bed of your truck. It's going to be a little bit easier to load them up than if you we're to have a ladder rack or something on top of your roof, and it's super, super easy to install. It doesn't even just stop with the kayaks, we can put a bike rack on here. We can go ahead and put a cargo basket on here. more

Adam: What's going on everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Thule TracRac Track One Ladder Rack on our 2020 Ram 1500. So this ladder rack system is going to be a really good and awesome addition to your truck, just because we're going to be able to pretty much double our bed space. This is going to allow us to put a bunch of different attachments or does poal some of those longer loads, maybe without even going over the back end of our truck, we can go ahead and put two by fours, pieces of drywall bunch of pipe, whatever you guys are using. And of course some ladders, we're going to go ahead and throw these up here, put it over top of our calves. So we don't have to put one of those flags up on the back.And it's just not going to add any length to the back of our truck here. more

Thule Ladder Racks Review - 2020 Ram 1500 TH500XT- Video
Hi, everybody, Adam, with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Xsporter Pro ladder rack on our 2020 Ram 1500. What's really going to set this ladder rack apart from all the others is the fact that we can adjust the height when it's installed. So I'm going to lower this just so you guys can see it a little bit better, but we're going to have these knobs. So we're going to twist the knobs.And whenever we go ahead and loosen these up, as you can see, we start to be able to lower this down and they are numbered, which is nice, so we can get it nice and even, we don't really have to guess or anything like that. We should have about 32 different levels of adjustment, which is fantastic. more

Hey guys. John here from etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at the Erickson ladder rack on our 2019 Ram 2,500. A ladder rack is a great way to get some larger cargo to our destination. Whether it's loading up a ladder like this to get to our job site, or maybe a kayak or a canoe, something that's not going to fit in our bed quite right, or maybe we just need to utilize our entire truck bed for other cargo and something like this will help get some extra cargo up above our bed.Our ladder rack has an 800 pound weight capacity and also has an aluminum construction, so it is nice and sturdy for that weight capacity, but the aluminum construction means we don't have to worry about rust or anything like that. It's going to be able to hold up to the elements really well. more

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Thule TracRac rack on our 2019 Ram 2500.So this ladder rack system is going to be ideal for you guys who just got a big old truck and you guys plan to use it. Whether you're maybe just putting up a ladder or some 2X4s, maybe some equipment for the construction site. Whatever it may be, I do think we're going to have a lot of use out of this and we're just going to be able to also put a bunch of different attachments. So even if you're not really the worker type, you just have a bunch of outdoorsy stuff you want to get to and from, this is going to allow you to maximize your truck. It's definitely a plus just because it'll just go onto your rails of the truck and the cool thing about it is just the fact that we will be able to get about 800 pounds of weight capacity up on top of here, but we still have all the room to use our truck just as if we didn't have the ladder rack installed.So we do have two different colors. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Ram 1500 we'll be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Yakima Bedrock Truck Bed Cargo Rack, part number Y01140-78.The Yakima Bedrock Rack System is going to allow us to carry bikes, kayak carriers, skis and snowboards, or cargo boxes above the level of our truck bed, allowing us to carry more cargo or gear inside our bed. Unlike other truck bed accessories, these are going to allow us to carry even more gear and a different variety of gear. The clamps are going to give us a nice, secure fit so we don't have to worry about anything coming loose.On our clamps we're going to have locks, which will help to prevent theft and tampering of our entire cargo system. Today on this 2015 Ram 1500, we're going to show you the Max Tow truck bed ladder rack, part number MT70423. This is what the ladder rack looks like on a Ram truck. All right, let's go ahead and take a look at construction. First off, aside from the plastic caps on top, this is all aluminum construction, so it doesn't add too much weight to your vehicle and it is very easy to install. Okay, you know the shape of the ladder rack, it has an elliptical design, so it helps cut down on wind noise going down the road. All right, let's get a couple of quick measurements. From the bed rail to the top of the latter rack is going to be about 26 inches. more

TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack Installation - 2012 Ram 3500- Video
Today on this 2012 Ram 3500 crew cab, we're going to install part number TA21000-03-02. This is the TracRac SR sliding truck bed ladder rack with the over the cab extension. First thing we need to do is go ahead and get the base rail ready for the truck. We already have our passenger's side installed and this is our rail right here. There's a wedge that goes underneath it to keep the rail level and then there's additional hardware inside the stake pocket of the bed that we'll show you on our second rail. The wedge is located between the top of the bed and our rail right here. more

Today on our 2014 Dodge Ram we're going to be test fitting the TracRac TracONE bed-mounted ladder rack system. It offers a 800 pound weight capacity. Its part number is TA27000-01. We've already got the front half of the ladder rack installed so we'll begin our test fit by placing the rear half right up here onto the bed rails of our truck. Now we'll want to find a fixed point on both sides to use as reference. In our case we've got the stake pocket here. more

Rola Pick Up Ladder Rack Installation - 2014 Ram 1500- Video
Today on our 2014 Ram 1500, we're going to be test fitting the Rolla Bed Mounted Ladder Rack System. This offers a 400 pound weight capacity. It's part number is 59742. To begin our test fit, we've already got the front half of the rack installed, so we'll show you how to do the rear half. We'll essentially place the ladder rack here under the bed rails of our vehicle. We need to find a fixed point on both sides to use, that way we're sure we have the bases of our rack in line with one another. This is a nice rubber coated piece of angle that's going to fit over your bed rail nicely and that rubber is going to protect it from any scratches or dents. more

Thule Xsporter Pro Truck Bed Ladder Rack Installation - 2014 Ram 2500- Video
Today on our 2014 Ram 2500 we're installing the Thule Xsporter Pro. This is an adjustable height ladder rack featuring the load stops, has a 450 pound weight capacity, and the part number is TH500XT. A really great feature of the Xsporter II is the adjustable height. Inside here it says 29, 28, 27, all the way down to 01. These are designed so you can get each side even with each other. To adjust it we're going to loosen the black knob. more
